During the meeting, they discussed the matter of protecting the Armenian historical, cultural, and religious heritage in the territories that are now under Azerbaijani control as a result of its military aggression last fall against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

Mirzoyan stressed that in the conditions of Azerbaijan’s deliberate destruction and identity distortion of Artsakh’s Armenian historical and cultural monuments, which are part of the universal cultural heritage, the implementation of preventive steps by the international community is simply imperative.
