The Supreme Spiritual Council, discussing the coronavirus situation in Armenia, recorded the increase of infection indicators and the rise in the number of deaths caused by the coronavirus with deep concern and regret. This is stated in the press release issued by the Information System of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

“The Supreme Spiritual Council reaffirmed the position of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin that vaccination against the coronavirus does not present a spiritual danger. Importance was attached to the fact that, in the current conditions of the pandemic, personal freedom must be strictly combined with public responsibility in order to not put a person’s life and the lives of others at risk.

The Supreme Spiritual Council highly appreciated and touched upon the dedicated service of doctors and medical workers to save human lives.

The Supreme Spiritual Council also deemed it necessary for the relevant healthcare bodies to take measures to prevent the spread of contradicting information about the usefulness and consequences of vaccination in order to increase effectiveness of the fight against the pandemic.

Once again, the Supreme Spiritual Council made a call to observe all the preventive measures to overcome the pandemic,” the press release reads.
