YEREVAN. – To lessen negative effects of high temperature and ultraviolet rays, and to avoid infectious diseases and food poisonings in hot weather Armenian Ministry of Healthcare calls the population to avoid direct rays of the sun especially at 12.00-17.00, walk in the shadow and do everyday works on comparably chilly hours of the day.
“It is recommended that children, old people, pregnant women, people suffering from chronic diseases lie or sleep at noon, as blood circulation becomes easier. It is also recommended to wear hat, sunglasses, cotton T-shirts, carry umbrella, use at least 3 liters of liquid, and not to overuse caffeine or drinks with sugar. Do not buy food at unknown or anti-hygienic places. It is recommended to wash hands frequently, to keep food in close containers to avoid flies.
Do not to allow children to swim in decorative pools or play with irrigation water. In case there is change of color or taste of water turn to corresponding bodies and doctors if there is sign of intestinal infectious disease,” reads the statement.
