YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday received Anna Bjerde, World Bank (WB) Vice President for Europe and Central Asia, informed the Armenian government.

The Prime Minister lauded the cooperation with the WB, within the framework of which development programs have been and are being implemented in Armenia. Pashinyan noted that the Armenian government attaches importance to deepening cooperation with the World Bank.

The WB vice president, in turn, expressed satisfaction with the course of their partnership with the Armenian government. Also, Bjerde stressed that the World Bank considers the program of the Armenian government as a target program to meet the challenges, and is ready to continue assisting the Armenian government in implementing the planned reforms.

The interlocutors discussed the prospects for Armenia-World Bank partnership, as well as the prospects for the development of cooperation.

The parties exchanged views also on cooperation in raising public awareness about coronavirus vaccination and promoting the process in Armenia.

The Prime Minister stressed that the Armenian government is committed to the consistent implementation of its reform agenda, and thanked the World Bank for its readiness to continue the productive cooperation.
