The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on Technical-Economic Cooperation was signed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia on Monday, the press release of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reads.

From the Armenian side, the Agreement was signed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Armen Ghevondyan, and from the Chinese side — Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Armenia Fahn Yong. The Agreement envisages gratuitous assistance of the Chinese government within the scope of the design for the new broadcasting pavilion of Armenian Public Television and the implementation of other projects that are agreed upon.

Executive Director of Armenian Public Television Hovhannes Movsisyan was also attending the signing ceremony.

During a meeting held before the signing ceremony, the deputy foreign minister and the Chinese Ambassador highly appreciated the Chinese government’s assistance with respect to the technical-economic projects carried out in Armenia and exchanged views on the new programs that are likely to be carried out.
