At this moment, I don’t see the risk of resumption of large-scale hostilities. With provocative actions, the enemy is trying to meet two objectives — to have the so-called ‘corridor’ and impose a peace treaty through recognition of territorial integrity. These are the two objectives that the enemy wants to meet. This is what military and political figure, statesman, Lieutenant General Samvel Babayan said as he touched upon the current tension on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border during a conversation with Iravunk newspaper.

“I would recommend that the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces really conduct serious professional analysis. If they don’t know what needs to be done, let them ask. We are ready to stand with the country for the sake of our statehood. At this moment, the General Staff is creating problems instead of solving them,” he said.
