The issues in the region are what lie at the core of the current situation, and not only the corridor, but also the creation of the 3+3 format. This is what leader of Republic Party Aram Sargsyan wrote on his Facebook page, adding the following:

“Intensification of the Minsk Group is not part of the Russian-Turkish agreements, and Azerbaijan views the start of negotiations through the mediation of the three Co-Chairs dangerous for the country. They are trying to make Armenia, Georgia and Iran to reckon with them and solve the regional issues in the 3+3 format, with the overriding Russia and Turkey.

Evidence of this is the call that the Minister of Defense of Turkey made to Armenia today. The counterinfluence to the 3+3 format needs to be from the West. Armenia needs to address the United States, France and the United Nations Security Council as soon as possible. Other options will be ineffective.”
