Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan today met with the delegation led by Vice-President of the Seimas of Lithuania Andrius Mazuronis.
As reported the National Assembly of Armenia, Ruben Rubinyan highly appreciated the current level of the friendly relations between Armenia and Lithuania and added that, according to him, Lithuania is one of Armenia’s key partners in the European Union.
Rubinyan talked about the subsequent provocation that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces made on Nov. 16 in the eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, viewing it as aggression against Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Vice-President of the Seimas stated that Lithuania supports Armenia’s territorial integrity and is in favor of the exclusion of military force. Mazuronis viewed the reforms taking place in Armenia as impressive and emphasized that Lithuania has also taken this path and can share its experience.
During the meeting, the parties also talked about the need to intensify parliamentary cooperation.
