Armenian News-NEWS.am learned from the Facebook page of the Representative of Armenia before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) that Armenia has lodged an application with the ECHR with the request to ensure the fundamental rights of the Armenian servicemen who were captured during the aggressive actions that Azerbaijan unleashed in the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia on November 16, 2021.

An application has been lodged with the ECHR to apply an interim measure against Azerbaijan under Rule 39 of the Rules of the European Court of Human Rights, the aim of which is to guarantee protection of the rights of captured servicemen to life and to be free of tortures as guaranteed by the European Convention on Human Rights.
