Ambassador of Iran to Turkey Mohammad Ferazmend covered the ‘3+3’ regional format in his article for Anadolu News Agency.

The Iranian Ambassador stated that the President of Iran supports the creation of the ‘3+3’ cooperation platform which Erdogan proposed in 2020 and which includes the 6 countries of the region.

“The format is in line with Iran’s foreign policy course, that is, it implies weakening of tension in the region, solutions to problems and expansion of cooperation of the countries,” the Iranian Ambassador stated, reminding that the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran had visited Yerevan, Moscow, Baku and Ankara during the war in Nagorno-Karabakh back in 2020.

According to the Ambassador, except for Georgia, the other countries have a positive attitude towards the creation of this platform. “Elimination of the 30-year tension in the South Caucasus will only be to the benefit of all the countries of the region,” Mohammad Ferazmend stressed.
