There was an idea to hold an online trilateral meeting on November 9, and I said the idea of that meeting is disputed and problematic for Armenia. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated during today’s press conference, touching upon Armenian News-NEWS.am’s question whether there was an initial agreement on an online meeting of Putin, Aliyev and Pashinyan in the period between November 9 and 17, and if yes, who refused and why.

“I clearly stated that November 9th is a grave, difficult and bitter day for us Armenians, but if it turns out that we will be able to reach an agreement after the meeting, for example, an agreement on the issue of captives, I will be ready to participate in the online meeting. Later, when it became clear that we can’t reach such an agreement, I stated that the symbolism of November 9th is not that good for us Armenians, and offered to move the meeting to November 15. Before November 15, there was a proposal to hold the meeting on November 26, and I said it was acceptable for Armenia. Later, there was an idea of a face-to-face meeting. This was acceptable for the parties, and an agreement was reached,” Pashinyan said.
