Diana Gasparyan, candidate of Civil Contract Party for Mayor of Vagharshapat who garnered 54.48% of the votes during the local self-government elections held on Dec. 5, assumed the position of mayor today, as reported on the Facebook page of Vagharshapat City Council.

The mandates of the newly elected Council of Elders were distributed as follows: Civil Contract Party: 15 mandates, “Etchmiadzin” Alliance: 10 mandates, “Hayrenater” Party: 2 mandates.
