The Anti-Corruption Committee has submitted objections to the instructions of the Prosecutor General’s Office in regard to the case of former Prosecutor General of Armenia, former Chairman of the Investigative Committee Aghvan Hovsepyan due to the fact that they were groundless, Armenian News-NEWS.am learns from the Anti-Corruption Committee.
The Anti-Corruption Committee also stated that the case hasn’t been forwarded to the overseeing prosecutor with an indictment.
Within the scope of the criminal case that has been investigated for nearly one-and-a-half years, the preliminary investigation body has charged Hovsepyan and submitted to the court a motion to select arrest as a pre-trial measure against him, and the court has granted the motion. Hovsepyan is charged with carrying out illegal entrepreneurial activities and alleged money-laundering.
