Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian says Tehran is ready to take part in the next stage of Iraq-brokered negotiations for easing tension with Saudi Arabia, Mehr reports.

Speaking at a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein in Tehran, Amir-Abdollahian said Tehran has presented to Riyad ‘a number of practical proposals’ that the authorities of Saudi Arabia have perceived as ‘positive’.

The negotiations are aimed at restoring diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

The top Iranian diplomat said his country is ready to support visits of technical delegations, adding that Saudi Arabia has issued visas to three Iranian diplomats who will settle at the central station of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Jida.
