Head of Il-de-France region of France, French presidential candidate Valerie Pecresse posted on her official Facebook page a comment about her visit to Armenia.
As reported Armenpress, Pecresse informed that she, along with head of the Republicans Faction of the French Senate Bruno Retaeau and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of France Michel Barnier, visited France’s fraternal country to support increase of France’s support to the restoration of peace in Nagorno-Karabakh, the economic and cultural development of Armenia and preservation of Armenian spiritual heritage.
The French politician also posted photos of her meetings with President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II and President of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Arayik Harutyunyan and her visit to Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex.
Valerie Pecresse is the President of the Ile-de-France Regional Council of France. On December 4, 2021, the Republicans Party nominated her as a candidate for the French presidential election to be held in April 2022.
