In Moscow representatives of the communities of Armenia and Azerbaijan held their first meeting after the end of the military conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh and discussed the ways to mitigate the tension between the peoples of both countries, an insider of the negotiations told TASS.

“On Dec. 23 and 24, representatives of the Azerbaijani and Armenian communities held their first meeting after the end of the military conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, with the participation of Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvidkoy. The participants of the meeting discussed the ways to mitigate the tension in the relations of the two peoples and agreed to continue such contacts in early 2022,” the news agency’s source reported.
