The newly appointed mayor of Yerevan, Hrachya Sargsyan, on Saturday took his oath of office at Yerevan Municipality.

In his subsequent address, Sargsyan thanked for the trust, and highlighted the need for harmonious and effective cooperation between the political and executive institutions of the Republic of Armenia.

"I am full of hope and expect the assistance by the RA legislative, executive, judicial, and public structures in resolving the development issues of Yerevan. And most importantly, I expect the assistance by the people of Yerevan, residents of other RA communities, of the Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] Republic, as well as of our compatriots in the diaspora in the development of Yerevan—the capital city of all of us," Hrachya Sargsyan said, in particular.
