President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the occasion of his birthday.

"Armenia attaches importance to partnership relations with Canada, which have always been distinguished by mutual trust and sincere desire to deepen them," he said.

"I fondly recall our informative conversation at the 26th UN Conference on Climate Change (COP 26), which provided an opportunity to exchange views on the prospects for expanding and strengthening bilateral cooperation, as well as on regional and international issues.

"I am full of hope that our meeting in Glasgow will give a new impetus to relations between the two countries, and that by joint efforts we will contribute to expanding the current agenda between Armenia and Canada and implementing future-oriented initiatives," the president said in a statement.
