Baku and Yerevan must begin the process of delimiting the Azerbaijani-Armenian border without preconditions, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a press conference, Azerbaijani media reported.
"Determination of boundaries is one of the important issues on the agenda.
Azerbaijan and Armenia have not even begun border delimitation for almost 30 years since gaining independence. This is not normal," Bayramov said.
According to him, Azerbaijan has taken full control of the entire border with Armenia.
"The new situation, new realities have created an opportunity for a civilized determination of the border, and Azerbaijan has repeatedly called for this. The document following the meeting in Sochi on November 26 between the leaders for the first time reflected the need to start this process in a trilateral format. I would like to note that such an initiative, albeit not reflected in an official document in the format of trilateral statements, was voiced back in May this year, and the Azerbaijani side reciprocated it and agreed to create a working group. However, Armenia then put forward some initiatives that were unacceptable for Azerbaijan," the minister said.
