Azerbaijan sentenced MP Eldaniz Salimov to imprisonment for beating police officers.
Azerbaijani presses report that the MP has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison.
On July 29, MP Eldaniz Salimov hit officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at Old Yard Restaurant. The Prosecutor General’s Office launched a criminal case, after which the parliament deprived Salimov of parliamentary immunity.
