According to Aravot.am, a little while ago, a murder took place in a Polish clothing store located in front of “Ponchik-Monchik” café in central Gyumri.

According to preliminary information, Anahit Iskandaryan, the owner of the clothing store, was found dead, with her throat slit.

Anahit Iskandaryan is the mother of Karen Yesayan, who was the murdered son-in-law of Vardan Ghukasyan [ex-mayor of Gyumri].

Deputy Head of the Public Relations and Media Department of the Police of Armenia Edgar Janoyan confirmed the news, noting that at 1:50 p.m. the ambulance reported to the police that there was a deceased person near a store in Gyumri and that the deceased was a woman. Investigators arrived at the scene of the incident and are carrying out necessary operations to establish the circumstances.

Prosecutor of Shirak Province Gurgen Grigoryan informed that the body of citizen A. (born in 1958) was found, and preliminary investigation bodies are working at the scene of the incident. Operational intelligence measures are being taken to identify the murderer.
