The State Control Service (SCS) of Armenia on Wednesday started conducting an investigation at Yerevan Municipality. The information was confirmed in an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am by the head of the information and public relations department of the city hall, Hovsep Kubatyan. But he did not say on what this investigation is about.

According to Irakanum.am’s information, however, the SCS is conducting this investigation on the instructions of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and the objective is to look into the mayoral activities of now former mayor Hayk Marutyan. According to the website, a number of documents on the revenues and budget expenses of the Yerevan city hall have been looked into.
