The first meeting of the special envoys of Armenia and Turkey for normalization of the relations may take place in January 2022. This is what Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in an interview aired on 24TV.
“The date of their meeting is not agreed yet, but the meeting might take place in January,” the minister said in response to reporters’ question about the date of the special envoys’ meeting, TASS reports.
Armenia has designated Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan as the country’s special envoy, and Turkey has appointed former Ambassador of Turkey to the United States Serdar Kilic in the process of dialogue between Armenia and Turkey.
