Georgian Ambassador to Turkey Giorgi Janjgava has stated that his country will not attend the second meeting also of the "3+3" format, which is scheduled to be held in Turkey. The Georgian diplomat told the Daily Sabah newspaper about this.
As this Turkish newspaper writes, Ankara has repeatedly called for the creation of a new platform for cooperation—that is, the "3+3"—which aims to bring Turkey, Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia together.
The first meeting of this format took place in Moscow last December, but Georgia did not participate in it.
The Georgian ambassador to Turkey explained that his country considers Turkey and Azerbaijan as strategic partners, and Armenia—as a historical and good neighbor, Georgia Online reports.
"However, Russia is a country that has occupied 20% of Georgia's territory," Janjgava added.
