The EU took note of the decision of the Kazakh authorities to apply to the CSTO for help, Nabila Massrali, the EU foreign policy service spokesperson, said at a briefing in Brussels, RIA Novosti reported.

According to her, they have taken into account the decision of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to request assistance from the CSTO to send peacekeeping forces to Kazakhstan for a limited period to help stabilize the situation.
