Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu held talks with the head of the Pentagon Lloyd Austin, the parties discussed security issues, RIA Novosti reports.
“On January 6, 2022, telephone talks were held between the Minister of Defense of Russia, General of the Army Sergey Shoygu, and the Secretary of Defense of the US, Lloyd James Austin. Security issues of mutual interest were discussed,” the message says.
