Almaty airport will be closed until January 9, reported Telegram channel Orda.

Despite the reopening of Kazakhstan's airports, there are still very few planes flying over Kazakhstan, Orda noted, citing Flightradar24 website data.

Earlier it was reported that the airports of Kazakhstan will resume flights on Friday from 15:00 local time to Atyrau, Shymkent, Turkestan, Moscow and Dubai.

According to the local Orda.kz, 10 international flights are scheduled for January 7 at the Nursultan Nazarbayev Airport.

Meanwhile, the Russian airline S7 announced the cancellation of its flights to Ust-Kamenogorsk on January 8 and 9, the Telegram channel Orda reported.
