The risk of conflict in Europe over the situation in Ukraine is real, as Russia allegedly continues to concentrate its military forces on the Ukrainian border. The statement came from NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Friday—and following a virtual meeting of NATO foreign ministers, Izvestia reports.

The buildup of Russia's military potential continues, there is a real risk of conflict, and Russia's aggressive actions undermine security in Europe, Stoltenberg said.

The NATO chief added that despite calls from the international community members of the bloc for several weeks, Moscow has not taken steps to de-escalate the tension.
