Several strategic objects in Kazakhstan were transferred to the CSTO contingent under protectio, the presidential administration of the republic reported.

Under the chairmanship of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a meeting of the operational headquarters was held, during which the Prosecutor General, Chairman of the National Security Committee, acting Minister of the Interior.

The head of state was informed that law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces are taking measures to restore order and legality in the country, ensure compliance with the state of emergency in the regions.

Checkpoints have been set up, a number of strategic facilities have been transferred to the united peacekeeping contingent of the CSTO member states. The power structures continue to "clean up" the settlements. Operational measures are being taken to locate and detain terrorists, to collect and document the evidence base, and to conduct appropriate examinations, the message says.

Currently, 125 criminal cases have been initiated, 5.8 thousand people have been apprehended.
