The information being disseminated by the Azerbaijani media, according to which the units of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Defense Army allegedly opened fire from a car in the direction of the Azerbaijani positions, is another disinformation and does not correspond to reality. The Artsakh Defense Army noted this in a statement, which continues as follows:

"In fact, the Azerbaijani servicemen opened irregular fire from the positions contiguous to Karmir Shuka settlement in the Martuni region of the Artsakh Republic, in the direction of the village, as a result of which the car—belonging to a civilian—parked in the vicinity of the [village] kindergarten caught fire.

Relevant information on the incident has been provided to the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent [in Artsakh], and measures have been taken to return the Azerbaijani side to the ceasefire maintenance regime."
