The Presidents of Armenia and Kazakhstan Armen Sarkissian and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed the situation in Kazakhstan during a telephone conversation.
During the talks, President Tokayev informed about the current situation in Kazakhstan and the measures taken to restore the constitutional order in the country.
Armen Sarkissian expressed deep condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. The Armenian president expressed the hope that soon peace and stability will finally be restored in the country, and overcoming the consequences will open the way to a new future for Kazakhstan and its people.
He also noted Armenia's readiness to further strengthen friendly relations with Kazakhstan.
