Iran has canceled the travel ban on common borders with neighboring countries imposed in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, Mehr reported.

According to Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi, citizens of neighboring countries can enter Iran through the land border if they have a negative result of PCR test or proof of vaccination.

Vahidi added that restrictions for passengers entering Iran through air borders from countries where the Covid-19 pandemic is under control have been lifted. He also added that restrictions for European countries, France and England are still in effect, adding that Tehran is lifting restrictions for travelers from other countries.

The minister also said that restrictions for countries where the Omicron variant is growing are likely to be tightened.
