Prince Andrew, Duke of York, middle son of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, will face an American court on charges of sexual assault against Virginia Giuffre, BBC reported.

Andrew was summoned to a hearing in the Southern District of New York after the court refused to dismiss the civil lawsuit filed against him.

Giuffre accuses Prince Andrew of three counts of rape. The first time she was forced to have sexual intercourse with the prince in the London mansion of socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, the second happened in the mansion of the financier Jeffrey Epstein, the third - on his private island. The plaintiff noted that at the time of the alleged crime she was 17 years old.
