At Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government of Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that, unfortunately, we continue to have incidents and casualties at the border with Azerbaijan.
"We have declared our policy, and I have said that one of the first tasks is to continuously increase the defense capability of our country. But, on the other hand, I said that we need strong nerves to open the agenda of our declared peaceful development," he said.
Pashinyan added that many will constantly attempt to prove that the aforesaid is impossible.
"We will move consistently on this path, and we must do everything to create a stable and secure environment around our country. This is our most important political task, especially after the 2020 [Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)] war and the 2021 snap parliamentary elections [in Armenia]," Pashinyan said.
