Turkey intends to launch the mass production of its Hurjet jet trainer.

According to a statement by Turkey's Defense Industry Executive Committee, decisions have been made on a number of projects such as various air, land and sea platforms, communication and information systems, munitions and missiles, hardware, modernization, logistics, cyber security and artificial intelligence.

It was stressed that the development of all kinds of technologies purchased abroad is an absolute necessity for Turkey's fully independent defense industry, and that the sector's efforts in this area will continue to be supported.

The first flight of Hurjet is scheduled for 2023. The aircraft is designed as a fifth-generation training aircraft.
