VANADZOR. – Vanadzor office of Helsinki Civil Assembly on July 16 wrote a statement to Armenian military prosecutor’s office and passed the copy to Armenian MOD concerning beating, violence and inhuman attitude towards the soldier.

R. Hovhannisyan, parent of the suffered soldier, told the Assembly that an officer forced his son to make belly press as a punishment of keeping mobile in the army. The soldier refused to obey and was subjected to beating, violence and inhuman attitude, the Assembly office told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Assembly demands the military prosecutor’s office to institute a criminal case.
