New contacts between Russian and U.S. presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden cannot be ruled out, but there is no understanding on this issue yet, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

He said that the continuation of personal negotiations with the United States will be discussed after receiving a response on security guarantees, RIA Novosti reported.

Earlier, Peskov said that the Kremlin expects written responses this week from the U.S. and NATO to their proposals on security guarantees.
