The number of deaths due to the coronavirus in Russia rose by 617 in a day, compared to 668 a day earlier, to 330,728, the federal operational headquarters to combat the new infection informed, TASS reported.

Thus, the number of deaths in a 24-hour period was the lowest since 28 June 2021.

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Russia increased by 121,228 overnight, to 11,737,007. In relative terms, the increase in the number of cases was 1.04%.

The number of hospitalizations due to coronavirus in Russia during the day was 9,883, down 32.2% from the previous day. The number of hospitalizations decreased in 75 regions, according to the headquarters data. The day before, it was 14,570. The number of hospitalizations increased in 10 regions.

The number of people cured of coronavirus infection in Russia increased by 28,944 per day against 30,010 a day earlier. A total of 10,218,151 cases of recovery were registered.

The percentage of patients discharged, according to the headquarters data, has dropped to 87% of the total number of those infected.

The number of so-called active cases, patients who are being treated at the moment, increased to 1,188,128.
