There is a lack of IT specialists in Armenia and we need specialists in this sphere, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vahram Dumanyan said.

His remarks came during the conference on Prospects of Artificial Intelligence in Armenia on 31 January.

He explained that the state has funded free training for students in the relevant fields. This practice, he said, will be prolonged in order to train young personnel.

"High-quality education in mathematics, natural sciences, engineering and information technology is especially important," Dumanyan added.
