YEREVAN. – National Assembly speaker Alen Simonyan who—under the Constitution—has temporarily assumed the powers of the President of Armenia, on Tuesday met—at the official presidential residence—with the presidential staff, the latter informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Simonyan underscored the future normal course of the activities of the presidential institute, expecting that the current presidential staff will continue to fulfill its respective duties responsibly until the election of a new President.

After the meeting, Alen Simonyan toured the presidential residence, and got acquainted with the activities of its staff.
