A bill providing for the possibility for Ankara and Baku to act jointly within the framework of cooperation in the military and defense spheres has been submitted to the Turkish Parliament for consideration, TASS reports.

According to Anadolu, this bill contains the so-called "Shusha Declaration" on allied relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan.

As previously reported, the Azerbaijani Parliament approved the so-called "Shusha Declaration". Today, at the plenary session of the Milli Majlis, a draft law "On the approval of the Shushi Declaration on allied relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey" was submitted for discussion. After discussions, the bill was put to the vote and adopted in the first reading.

The Shusha Declaration was signed on June 15, 2021 in the occupied Armenian city of Shushi by the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
