Armenia has not yet made a decision regarding participation in the forum in Antalya. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan announced this on February 2 at a joint press conference with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schalenberg.

The Minister said that he and the Armenian Special Representative for the normalization of relations with Turkey Ruben Rubinyan received an invitation from the Turkish side.

According to Mirzoyan, the forthcoming conference was also discussed at his meeting with his Austrian colleague.

“There is no solution yet. The issue is being discussed,” Mirzoyan noted, adding that the issue should not be considered in the plane of bilateral relations, on the contrary, this is an important international diplomatic event in which Armenia may decide to take part. According to the minister, even if we associate participation with the process of normalizing relations, there is nothing but positive shades here.

In turn, the Austrian Foreign Minister noted that it was a good gesture on the part of Ankara to invite representatives of Armenia.
