The wife of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, Ri Sol-Ju, who had previously disappeared from the sight of journalists, has appeared in public, Reuters reported.

According to the agency, the politician's wife stepped out in public for the first time in five months. She attended a performance with Kim Jong-Un at the Mansudae Art Theater in Pyongyang to mark the Lunar New Year.

Ri Sol-Ju had previously made a public appearance in early September 2021, when she took part in events to mark the anniversary of the founding of the DPRK and visited the tomb of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il with her husband.

According to Reuters, Ri Sol-Ju often accompanied Kim Jong-un at social and military events, as well as on business trips. She stopped appearing in public two years ago and only came out in February 2021. Journalists speculated then that such a long absence of the politician's wife might be related to her pregnancy.
