The Russian Defense Ministry reports that the servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) have summed up the results of their activities in January in the Askeran, Martakert, and Martuni regions.

Accordingly, thanks to the Russian peacekeepers, the convoys carrying humanitarian aid have reached Artsakh safely, the pilgrims visited Amaras Monastery, the Russian servicemen made sure that the ceasefire was not violated, and demined various places.

The Russian peacekeepers organized more than 30 humanitarian actions, during which more than 500 kg of humanitarian aid was distributed to the displaced and the needy, including large families.

Also, the peacekeepers accompanied about 300 pilgrims.

The mobile teams of the Russian peacekeeping contingent carried out 39 patrols along the agreed routes of the Nagorno-Karabakh border line.

In January, the Russian peacekeepers made 31 trips to ensure the safety of agricultural, repair, and recovery work.

The Russian peacekeepers’ engineering and sapper units continue to clear the areas and objects, as well as destroy unexploded ordnance. To date, 1,937 buildings have been inspected, 690 km of roads and 2,331 hectares of land have been cleared, and 26,176 explosives have been found and destroyed.
