Chairman of the Standing Parliamentary Commission on Human Rights and Public Affairs, deputy from the opposition bloc aguhi Tovmasyan urgently addressed the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau and the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office for the South Caucasus Viorel Mosanu.

She demanded the immediate return of the Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan.

Tovmasyan drew the attention of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office to the inadmissibility of the consistent politicization of the issue of the return of Armenian prisoners of war by Azerbaijan and the introduction of new preconditions.

She cited relevant articles from the UN international conventions as an example, urging the OSCE to put serious political pressure on Azerbaijan so that the latter fulfills its international obligations.

The MP noted that the Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan should be immediately repatriated without any preconditions.
