On 7 February, Armenian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States Lilit Makunts met with US House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Relations, Congressman Jim Costa.

During the meeting, Makunts handed the Armenian state award Mkhitar Gosh to the Congressman in light of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Armenia and the US and the latter's significant contribution to the development of US-Armenia relations, NEWS.am was informed.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the further deepening of bilateral relations, as well as touched upon international and regional developments.
