Major Narek Yeremyan, who returned from Azerbaijani captivity, has been released, Yeremyan's lawyer Carmen Poghosyan told NEWS.am.

According to her, the judge decided to apply the bail of 1 million drams (nearly $2,000).

After the soldiers, captured during the Azerbaijani provocation on 16 November 2021, returned to their homeland, some of them were arrested. They are suspected of violating the rules of combat duty. Two of the servicemen, Serzhik Amirkhanyan and Aren Aramyan, have been released.

The Armenian Military Investigation Committee opened criminal cases against 6 of 26 servicemen who were released from captivity, they have been arrested. Among them are three officers.
