It is time to move from partnership and good-neighborly relations between Armenia and Iran to the deepening of relations not only in scientific and cultural, but also in security mechanisms and economic sectors. Robert Beglarian, an Armenian member of the Iranian parliament, stated this at Wednesday’s international conference in Yerevan, entitled "Armenia-Iran: Historical Past and Present," and dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

According to Beglarian, the situation created after the 44-day Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) war in the fall of 2020, geopolitical changes, and the link between the Middle East and the Caucasus in political and geopolitical issues, confirm that need.

"It is necessary to quickly and clearly find out the scope of work, and proceed on the road of developing relations," he added.
