Lithuania will ask the United States to permanently deploy troops in the country to improve security, Reuters reports.
According to Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, the country will negotiate with the United States to ensure the permanent presence of rotating American forces in Lithuania
This would be the best security and deterrence boost that NATO could provide not only to Lithuania, but to the entire region, Nauseda said.
