Moscow welcomes Azerbaijan's handover of eight Armenian servicemen to Armenia, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said. 

She said that since December 2, 2020, a total of 146 people - 127 to the Armenian side and 19 to the Azerbaijani side - have been returned through the mediation of Russian peacekeepers.

"Of course, we consider it important to make parallel efforts to clarify the fate of the missing persons and we will facilitate this both in our national capacity and as co-chair of the OSCE," she said. According to her, Russia will do its best for this, as it is a priority issue.
